Thoughts of the Day: Monday, March 8, 2010.

I have been thoroughly unproductive today. In fact, about the only productive thing I accomplished was that I paid my rent. I finished the second season of Arrested Development (I'm not sure who I'm in love with more: George-Michael or Maeby?), ate my feelings (an extremely unhealthy activity that has carried over from the weekend), and coughed and wheezed like a dying person. I also watched Whip It (Sorry, Rebecca. I started looking up pictures of Ellen Page and just couldn't wait until the weekend. Though I am definitely down for a second time around!).

So back to the movie-- I loved it. I drooled through practically all 110 minutes. Not only do I get butterflies whenever I see Ellen Page, I also have the biggest crush on Alia Shawkat, a.k.a. Maeby from Arrested Development (Ironically both of whom have had romantic on-screen encounters with Michael Cera, a.k.a. George-Michael from Arrested Development, a.k.a. Pauly Bleeker from Juno). I don't understand why it's taken me such a long time to watch this film in the first place. Nor can I comprehend why I have not come across these pictures until tonight (StumbleUpon, you have failed and disappointed me.):

Why oh why, o great interwebs, hast thou deprived from me so long these portraits of great beauty???

In any case, this post just goes to show that I'm a big fat homo (with a not-so-strange desire to become Michael Cera).

On another note, I'm currently reading The Book of Illusions by Paul Auster (Amazing writer. If you haven't had a chance to read his work, it's a moving experience and I highly recommend it), and came across a quote that really spoke to me: "Guilt can cause a man to act against his best interests, but desire can do that as well, and when guilt and desire are mixed up equally in a man's heart, that man is apt to do strange things."
